Xilinx provides support for Sony's next-generation live production video switche

The Xilinx  virtex ultra-large-scale FPGA with high-bandwidth memory plays a key role in the new XVS-G1 video switcher. The brand-new XVS-G1 video switcher follows the characteristics and functions of the existing models, while adding cutting-edge technology to achieve enhanced visual processing of live events, and supports up to 24 4K UHD channels. The embedded HBM controller and high-performance transponder of Xilinx devices support high-speed processing and high dynamic range (HDR) in high-resolution 4K mode, with wide color gamut and extremely low latency. XVS-G1 will be the first broadcast video switcher that uses Xilinx  HBM technology to deploy live sports events and other events.
